The Owego Free Academy River Hawks won the last time they faced the Chenango Forks Blue Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Owego Free Academy came out on top against Chenango Forks by a score of 61-52. Given Owego Free Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Chenango Forks is ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Chenango Forks lost, one person who can't be blamed is Stephen Samsel. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 40.4% of Chenango Forks' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
