Basketball Game Preview: Ash Fork Spartans vs. Mogollon Mustangs

Ash Fork hasn't had much luck against Mogollon recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Ash Fork Spartans will take on the Mogollon Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ash Fork lost 56-33 to Music Mountain on Wednesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mogollon came up short against Fort Thomas on Friday and fell 71-58. The Mustangs have struggled against the Apaches recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mogollon now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Ash Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Ash Fork might still be hurting after the 59-35 loss they got from Mogollon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mogollon's Quinn Tenney, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.
