Piute had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Escalante Moquis as they made off with a 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Thunderbirds yet this season.

Piute's got stronger as the match went on, holding Escalante to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-12.

Piute's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Escalante, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
