Soccer Recap: Leland Gets the Win

Leland kept a clean sheet against Branham on Thursday. They beat the Branham Bruins by a goal, winning 1-0. Allison Park had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Chargers.

Leland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Branham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leland will welcome Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Branham has already played their next matchup (against Piedmont Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
