St. Stanislaus put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged the Oak Grove Warriors out 3-2. Given the Rock-a-Chaws' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while the Warriors are ranked 53rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Stanislaus pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those seven matchups. As for Oak Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Stanislaus will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Oak Grove will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
