Softball Recap: Glenvar Comes Up Short

Glenvar and Appomattox County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Glenvar had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. If the Highlanders were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in June of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Glenvar's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Appomattox County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Glenvar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Appomattox County, they will take on Chatham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
