Gaston Christian came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 67-49 victory over the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles. Given Gaston Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while SouthLake Christian Academy is ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
