Volleyball Recap: Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Futures Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-13, 21-25, 16-14.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Futures, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will face off against Sacramento Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Futures, they will welcome Encina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
