Softball Preview: Nazareth Area Blue Eagles vs. Easton Area Rovers
The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles will face off against the Easton Area Rovers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Nazareth Area's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Easton Area has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Friday, Nazareth Area earned a 7-2 win over Pocono Mountain East. The Blue Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Shauna McNamee was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Perillo, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nazareth Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Easton Area saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyvia Fleming, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Gabby Orsato also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Easton Area's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Nazareth Area, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
