Basketball Recap: Roper Foerderer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Medina/Pingree-Buchanan over Oakes

After flying high against Strasburg/Zeeland last Thursday, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan came back down to earth. The match between Medina/Pingree-Buchanan and the Oakes Tornadoes didn't end well, with Medina/Pingree-Buchanan falling 71-56. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oakes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Roper Foerderer, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Terek Kinzell, who had 14 points.

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Oakes, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan will square off against Carrington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Medina/Pingree-Buchanan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. Oakes has already played their next game (against Medina), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
