Basketball Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Falls Despite Big Games from Breon Doe and Jadin Aviles

Maritime Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Roxborough Wolves on the road by a 69-52 margin.

Despite the defeat, Maritime Academy Charter had strong showings from Jadin Aviles, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards, and Breon Doe, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Doe continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayriel Arroyo, who posted eight points and three steals.

Maritime Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Roxborough, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maritime Academy Charter will head out to face off against Strawberry Mansion at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roxborough, they will venture away from home to challenge Sayre at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Roxborough's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
