Baseball Recap: Dudley Has No Trouble Against T.W. Andrews

Dudley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders with a sharp 24-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won eight in a row.

Dudley got a massive performance out of Antonio Lee Jr., who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave Lee Jr. a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of John Madden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Dudley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .733. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Dudley's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for T.W. Andrews, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dudley will head out to square off against Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for T.W. Andrews, they will head out on the road to challenge Reidsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
