Basketball Recap: Centauri Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Centauri kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the University Bulldogs, falling 65-39. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Coehn Nitzel was nothing short of spectacular for University: he shot 60% from the field to rack up 21 points along with eight assists and four steals. Nitzel has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was River Sawyer, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

University has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Centauri will welcome Salida at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for University, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
