Softball Recap: Royse City's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Royse City unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockwall Yellowjackets. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Royse City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Rockwall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Royse City will welcome Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Royse City is on a five-game streak of home wins, Forney a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Rockwall, they will head out to square off against Longview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Longview their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
