Baseball Recap: Wayne Preparatory Academy Gets the Win

Wayne Preparatory Academy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Riverside Christian Academy Royals 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted since March 23rd.

MASON SAULS was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Wayne Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against The Capitol Encore Academy on the 1st. As for Riverside Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-3 victory against American Leadership Academy on the 4th.
