Sickles has gone a perfect 3-0 against Blake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Sickles will be playing in front of their home fans against Blake at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sickles has four straight victories, Blake has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Sickles had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt East Bay on Saturday. Sickles put the hurt on East Bay with a sharp 14-3 win. Considering the Gryphons have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Emilio Salgado and Jordan Yost did most of the damage at the plate: Salgado went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Yost got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Salgado a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaden Nazar, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Sickles always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Blake came up short against Sumner on Saturday and fell 7-2.
Zechariah Ayers was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Sickles' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Blake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
Blake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sickles has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. It's a different story for Blake, though, as they've only averaged .319. Will they be able to contain Sickles' hitters?
Sickles was able to grind out a solid victory over Blake in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 8-3. Does Sickles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
