Softball Recap: Grace Extends Winning Streak to Four

Grace won the last time they faced Foothill Tech and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lancers walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Dragons. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not much got past Rosy Salazar, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Foothill Tech off the board. Salazar has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Maguire was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Ava Depew was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Grace hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.

Grace's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Foothill Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coincidentally, Grace and Foothill Tech will both be playing St. Bonaventure the next time they take the field. The Lancers will host the Seraphs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Dragons will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
