Softball Recap: Bagdad Triumphs

Bagdad's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 15-10 win over the San Pasqual Valley Warriors. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 14, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Bagdad let Anna Williams and Bria Moseley run wild. Williams fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3, while Moseley scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Yessi Moore, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Bagdad lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Bagdad now has a winning record of 3-2. As for San Pasqual Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bagdad will have a chance to go back-to-back against San Pasqual Valley: the pair will be back at it again later today.
