Soccer Game Preview: Hersey vs. Rolling Meadows

The Hersey Huskies will face off against the Rolling Meadows Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hersey is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Hersey took a four-goal loss the last time they faced off against Fremd, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Saturday. Give Hersey's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows fell victim to Prospect and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Rolling Meadows have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hersey's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Rolling Meadows, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Hersey came out on top in a nail-biter against Rolling Meadows in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
