Basketball Recap: Midland Valley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Dee Guiterrez and Zekenya Eberhart

Midland Valley lost against Airport back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Midland Valley Mustangs fell 51-43 to the Airport Eagles. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Midland Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Zekenya Eberhart and Dee Guiterrez. Eberhart posted 15 points, while Guiterrez put up 11 points. That's the most points Guiterrez has posted since back in January of 2024.

Midland Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Airport, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Midland Valley has already played their next matchup, a 42-39 defeat against Gilbert on the 9th. As for Airport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-26 loss against Gray Collegiate Academy on the 9th.
