Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Norwayne

With a playoff win on the line, Norwayne rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Poland Seminary Bulldogs. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Abby Workman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Narwocki, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Riley Gwinn was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Norwayne's record is now 21-3. As for Poland Seminary, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-15 record.

As of now, neither Norwayne nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
