Softball Game Preview: Boerne Greyhounds vs. Pieper Warriors

The Boerne Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Pieper Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boerne has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Boerne came up short against Alamo Heights and fell 14-9.

Meanwhile, Pieper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alamo Heights. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pieper's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Boerne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Boerne was able to grind out a solid victory over Pieper in their previous matchup back in March, winning 14-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
