Basketball Recap: Downtown Doral Wins Going Away Against Edison

On Thursday, the Downtown Doral Dolphins made easy work of the Edison Red Raiders and carried off a 70-44 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-14.

Giancarlo Romero was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 11 boards, and 11 steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Juan Castro was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

Downtown Doral's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Downtown Doral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-40 victory against Marathon on the 10th. As for Edison, they will square off against North Miami Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
