Neuse Charter waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 69-27 victory over the Union Spartans. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 24 points or more this season.

Neuse Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Temple, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine assists. Temple is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yedidia Tsolenyanu, who posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks.

Temple wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Neuse Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Union had strong showings from MAKAYLA HALL, who put up four points and ten boards, and ZADARIYAH FAISON, who had 11 points. That was a full 40.7% of Union's points, marking the 12th time in a row FAISON has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Neuse Charter's record is now 22-6. As for Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Neuse Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union, they will challenge Rosewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Union is facing Rosewood at the right time seeing as Rosewood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
