Baseball Recap: Shelby County Comes Up Short

Shelby County lost against Briarwood Christian last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 14-4 to the Lions. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Pennington, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Shelby County's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Briarwood Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelby County will host Minor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will welcome Spain Park at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
