Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antonian Prep). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 120-43 victory over the Savio Eagles. The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Antonian Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Edison Onwe led the charge by going 9 for 18 en route to 28 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Onwe's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amare Guerra, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 27 points and five steals.

Antonian Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Antonian Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season. As for Savio, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Antonian Prep and Savio could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Antonian Prep will square off against St. Michael's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 21 places (26 vs. 5). Similarly, Savio (ranked 929th) will meet Central Catholic (ranked 232nd) at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
