Softball Recap: Irvin Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Irvin's offense. They came up short against the Jefferson Silver Foxes on Friday, falling 15-0. The Rockets have struggled against the Silver Foxes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Jefferson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Irvin has already played their next matchup, a 24-2 loss against Bowie on the 19th. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-4 defeat against Burges on the 19th.
