Baseball Recap: Crestwood Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Crestwood won against Valley View last Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Comets beat the Berwick Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Crestwood got a great performance from Chris Litchkofski as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). Litchkofski has become a key player for the Comets: the team is 6-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Domzalski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Crestwood is 5-1 when Domzalski posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Connor Wagaman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Crestwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Crestwood pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Berwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

As of now, neither Crestwood nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
