After flying high against Garfield on Thursday, Firestone came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garfield Heights Bulldogs on Saturday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15.

Michaela Payden paced Firestone's offense, picking up three kills. Payden got some help from Aubrey Caulder and her six assists. Payden also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Meeker Sarah, each putting up two.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Garfield Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Firestone has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Bard Early College on the 27th. As for Garfield Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Western Reserve Academy on the 27th.
