Softball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short

Wheatmore lost against Uwharrie Charter Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wheatmore saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Dill, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Wheatmore's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wheatmore will challenge rival Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Uwharrie Charter Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
