Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Falls Despite Big Games from Kylie Moran and Addison Meeker

Lakeland lost against Clinton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10.

Lakeland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Meeker, who had 14 digs, and Kylie Moran, who had 11 kills. Meeker has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-4 record this season.

Lakeland will face off against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Adrian on the 18th.
