After only one run in their last match, Fair Grove made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sarcoxie on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 12-4 win. Considering the Eagles have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Aubrie Voorhis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Fair Grove let Gracie Crandall and Meadow Carter run wild. Crandall went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Carter went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Carter has posted since back in March. Hali Stokes was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
