Volleyball Game Preview: Pierce Bears vs. Colusa RedHawks + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Pierce Bears and the Colusa RedHawks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Pierce made easy work of Winters and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colusa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Paradise on Thursday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Colusa was: they took every set by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Pierce better keep an eye on Marlie Berry. She was instrumental in Colusa's win, getting six aces and five digs. That's the most aces Berry has posted since back in September.

Colusa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pierce has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. As for Colusa, their win bumped their record up to 23-12.

Pierce skirted past Colusa 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the RedHawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
