Soccer Game Preview: Archimedean vs. Pinecrest Prep

Archimedean will challenge the Pinecrest Prep Crocs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Archimedean is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Westwood Christian onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Archimedean who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Prep put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Colonial Christian 8-0. Give the Crocs' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Colonial Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Daniel Yanes led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Archimedean is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Pinecrest Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 16-0-2.

Archimedean might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Pinecrest Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can Archimedean avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
