Softball Recap: Pojoaque Valley Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pojoaque Valley and Los Alamos meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Elks/Elkettes lost 18-1 to the Hilltoppers. The Elks/Elkettes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Pojoaque Valley dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Los Alamos, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hilltoppers beat Pojoaque Valley by a score of 19-8 later that day.
