Soccer Game Preview: Bluffton vs. Ottawa-Glandorf

Bluffton hasn't had much luck against Ottawa-Glandorf recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pirates will head out to square off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Bluffton's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Bluffton's victory against Liberty Center wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Bluffton in their matchups with Liberty Center: they've now won three in a row.

Bluffton's one-goal win came courtesy of Blair Utendorf, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Ottawa-Glandorf won against Kalida on Thursday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. The Titans blew past Shawnee 5-0. Ottawa-Glandorf's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Bluffton now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Bluffton might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
