Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Gainesville Hurricanes

The Lincoln Trojans will take on the Gainesville Hurricanes on Wednesday. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Lincoln is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They strolled past Chiles with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gainesville posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Eastside 69-48.

Lincoln has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points per game. As for Gainesville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Lincoln came up short against Gainesville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 47-41. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
