Basketball Recap: Amir Dominick's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Belmont Charter over Philadelphia Academy Charter

On Tuesday, the Belmont Charter Tigers came up short against the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers and fell 52-43. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belmont Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amir Dominick, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Zymir Dessus, who scored ten points.

Tahj Wilson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia Academy Charter. Those 23 points gave Wilson a new career-high. Jordan Benzenahfer was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Belmont Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
