Baseball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle was the 14-10 winner over Shenandoah when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Raiders on Monday, falling 15-4. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braxton Pribble and Carson Bell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pribble went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI, while Bell went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That double was Pribble's first of the season.

New Castle's record is now 3-6. As for Shenandoah, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Castle will face off against Delta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shenandoah, they will square off against Blue River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
