Volleyball Recap: Neuqua Valley Wildcats vs. Hinsdale Central Red Devils
Neuqua Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hinsdale Central Red Devils. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Neuqua Valley actually scored more points across those three sets (67-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 25-23.
Chase L Marston paced Neuqua Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. L Marston were helped by Vishwak Naramreddy and Colin Loehrke, who contributed two assists each. Finally, L Marston was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Neuqua Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Hinsdale Central, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.
Neuqua Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Maine West on the 3rd. As for Hinsdale Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lincoln-Way West on the 2nd.
