Softball Recap: Salem Wildcats vs. Resurrection Catholic Eagles

On Wednesday, while Salem put up plenty of runs, the same can't be said for Resurrection Catholic. The Salem Wildcats blew past the Resurrection Catholic Eagles 19-0. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Salem yet this season.

Marissa Pollard was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kira Bridges, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Salem has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. As for Resurrection Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Salem will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
