Baseball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas blew Reed out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Reed got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-3. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Douglas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Ovard, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Douglas has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Reed, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Looking ahead, Douglas will take on Spanish Springs at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reed, they will square off against McQueen at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
