You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Vandegrift on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Round Rock Westwood Warriors out of the water with a 43-0 final score. The result was nothing new for the Vipers, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Sam Brown went supernova, rushing for 106 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Another big playmaker for Vandegrift was Ontario Jackmon, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Vandegrift proved: they limited Round Rock Westwood to a paltry 0.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least four total tackles, Hugo DeLaVara Vazquez stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles. Vandegrift's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Vandegrift, adding 19 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jackmon, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The win was the fourth in a row for Vandegrift, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for Round Rock Westwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Meanwhile, Round Rock Westwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Vista Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Wade Allen and Quinn Szczytowski.
