Football Recap: Fairview Warriors vs. Clearview Clippers

Fairview gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Clearview Clippers by a score of 39-26. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 34-0 win the Clippers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Fairview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Allen out in front who picked up 234 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 234 receiving yards gave Allen a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Burke Lowry, who threw for 411 yards and five TDs while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fairview's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Mason Woodworth, Danny O'Neil, and Ben Alcaro, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Several Clippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braden Turner, who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

Coming up, Fairview is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clearview, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Westlake at 7:00 p.m.
