Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart-Griffin's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Sacred Heart-Griffin lost against Glenwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones fell to the Glenwood Titans 40-35.

Glenwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rowann Law led the charge by putting up 11 points and five boards. Alexis Neumann was another key player, earning 13 points and eight rebounds.

Sacred Heart-Griffin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-14. As for Glenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Sacred Heart-Griffin and Glenwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Sacred Heart-Griffin (ranked 175th) will meet Jacksonville (ranked 582nd) at 12:30 p.m. on February 8th. Sacred Heart-Griffin will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Glenwood will challenge Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 247 places (65 vs. 312).
