Volleyball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Raleigh Lions. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Raleigh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Newton has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Puckett on the 25th. As for Raleigh, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against West Jones on the 29th.
