Montello entered their tilt with Rio on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Hilltoppers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Montello took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-8.

Kyla Calnin was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests.

Calnin wasn't the only good server: Montello was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive games.

Montello's record is now 21-4. As for Rio, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Montello will challenge Poynette at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rio, they will take on Fall River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
