While Maynard's victory against Gardner wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 14th.

The team relied heavily on Max Cedeno, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Thomas Lawton was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Maynard and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Gardner, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maynard will host Bromfield at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gardner, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Murdock at 4:00 p.m.
