Softball Recap: Cass Comes Up Short

Cass came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but they unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the Norris Titans. The shutout was certainly out of character for the Wildcats, seeing as the last time the team was held without a run was September 5th.

For Norris' part, Amaya Reimers looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Leah Ozenbaugh, who went 1-for-2 while posting 1 home run, 3 RBIs, and 1 walk. Those three RBIs set a new season-high mark for her.

Cass has now lost three of their last four games on the road. That's left a mark on their 9-14 record this season. As for Norris, they are now 11-16, having gone 3-2 since their four-game losing streak ended.

As of now, neither Cass nor Norris have any future games scheduled.
