Basketball Recap: Ray Harris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Aiken over Lexington

South Aiken had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 63-57 to the Lexington Wildcats. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

South Aiken's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ray Harris, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 20 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Kyson McLeod, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

South Aiken has already played their next matchup, an 81-78 defeat against Ben Lippen on the 25th. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-52 victory against American Leadership Academy on the 25th.
